Art Education 160
Art and Music since 1945

Art Education 160 is an undergraduate course dealing with the visual arts and music in the Western World since 1945.  It is offered for 5 credit hours Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer.  It is available as a GEC and VPA Admis Cond course.  Students from all disciplines are welcome and no previous experience in art or music is necessary.  During the Autumn, Winter and Spring Quarters, 160 is taught on Tuesday and Thursdays from 8:30 to 10:18 in Sullivant Auditorium. In addition, students register for a one hour discussion group, which meets one day each week at another location.  These are offered at 15 different times during the week, to accommodate most schedules.

There is also a distance education version of Art Education 160 that is web based and may be taken on a computer. The course number is Art Education 160D. The content of 160D is similar to the campus course, although there are no scheduled classes, and all work, including discussions, exams and papers will be handled electronically.  If you are interested in taking 160D, contact Dr. Robert Arnold at arnold.1@osu.edu or 614-292-1230.

During the Summer of 2002, 160 will be taught first term, and will meet Monday through Friday from 9:30 to 11:18 in Sullivant Auditorium. 160D is not offered in the summer.

Following those links will give you more information about each artist.
