Jennifer's Teaching Portfolio

my artwork

I am attending Eastern Michigan University’s Visual Arts education program and it is through this program that I spend time in the classrooms with elementary and secondary students. These experiences working with children confirm my desire to be the finest art teacher to future students. To see the faces on students when you teach them something new is invaluable. I put 110% into my education so I can be the best at what I do. I accomplish this through my active membership in Eastern Michigan Universities General studies Honors Program, Departmental Honors Program (Fine Arts) Eastern Michigan Stoic Society and Kappa Delta Pi Education Honors society. Through my hard work I have been awarded the Adnee Palmer Pearson Art Scholarship winner for 2003/04 academic year and have made the Dean’s List for fall 2002, winter 2003, fall 2004 semesters. I believe in order to excel as an art teacher; I should excel in my concentration of painting. As a result, in my spare time I have been developing my career as a painter. Through this development I currently display and have displayed my work a few times in the Johoneese Gallery in Chicago, Illinois and the Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair. For the future, I plan to continue my career as a painter so that I will be that art teacher that I desire to be. The best.
