Art Education 160 and 160D  is an undergraduate course dealing with the visual arts and music in the Western World since 1945.  It has been taught on the Columbus campus of The Ohio State University since 1974.  It is updated every year to include the most recent developments in art and music.

Beginning this year, in addition to being offered on campus, Art Education 160 is offered as a distance course, Art Education 160D.  Although the experience of taking the course as a distance offering will be different than taking it in a large lecture hall on campus, the material covered will be similar, and all topics covered on campus will also be covered in the distance course.

Students from all disciplines are welcome and no previous experience in art or music is necessary. 160 and 160D  are available as a GEC and a VPA Admis Cond course.
