JAMIE  STEGNER

Jamie Stegner (J.S.)  is a student in the Core Program in the Department of Art Education at The Ohio State University, studying to be an art teacher. She was born in Canton, Ohio and grew up in a small town near Canton called Louisville. After graduation from Ohio State, she hopes to move to the southern east coast and teach art in high school.

Jamie says of herself :

I have always had a strong interest in the fine arts and actively participated in our high school art club, serving as both Vice President, and President. I enjoy all the different art media, especially sculpture and photography. My favorite artist is photographer Bill Owens, because of his black and white documentary, "Suburbia". Outside of class, I enjoy nothing more than Ohio State football. My other love, second only to the Buckeyes, is being outdoors. I have a passion for sun, sand, and the ocean. I enjoy any activity revolving around water, especially boating, skiing, and my new favorite sailing. I really enjoyed participating in the research and development of the online art education curriculum and hope that you too enjoy the course."
