Art Education 160D

Art and Music since 1945

Welcome to Art Education 160D, the distance version of Art and Music since 1945.  The topics covered are the same as those covered by the campus course, although the material is arranged somewhat differently, and the pace of your learning experience will depend on your involvement in the material.

Let us begin with an introduction to the various parts of the web site, which you see below.  Each of these words (Syllabus, Units, Links, Work, Contacts) will take you to a place or places where more information is available to help you through the course.

If you click on the item "Syllabus" below, you will find a course syllabus which is an invaluable guide to this course.  Within the syllabus is virtually everything you need to know to navigate through the course.

If you click on "Units" below, you will see that course content has been divided into thirty sections, called Units.  Although you can go to any of these units, or any order, we recommend that you, at least in the beginning of the course, explore the units in order, beginning with Unit 1.

Your teacher this quarter will be Dr. Arnold, who is also giving lectures for the campus version AE160 in Columbus this quarter.  Let's go to the Syllabus now to see what you can expect from 160D and what we expect from you.
