Purpose

The "2024 Asia-Pacific International Conference on Arts & Humanities" aims to provide a platform for academic exchange and practical experience sharing among experts, scholars, and industry professionals in the fields of arts and humanities. This conference marks the sixth Asia-Pacific International Conference on Arts & Humanities and the third International Academic Research Conference on Art Education. Experts, scholars and graduate students working on the fields of Asia-Pacific arts and humanities will be invited to facilitate international academic exchange. The conference emphasizes the integration of academic theory and practical experience, featuring a " Singapore & Malaysia Arts Education Forum," the "Island Chain Asia-Pacific International Art Exhibition," and related workshops and activities. Papers presented and approved during the conference will be included in the official conference proceedings (ISBN).

Submission Guidelines

The conference welcomes research papers and research posters for presentation. Papers related to issues in the fields of arts, humanities, art education, humanities education, art theory and creation, technology and design, arts industry, local regeneration, and art development in an aging society are all welcome. Submission guidelines are as follows:

Research Papers:

According to academic ethics guidelines, all submissions must not have been previously presented at any conference, published in any journal, or currently under review elsewhere. Authors are solely responsible for any issues related to copyright and intellectual property. Papers accepted after the conference review process will not receive any remuneration. Those selected for presentation will orally present their papers during the conference, and relevant scholars and experts will be invited to provide commentary and engage in discussions.

After the oral presentation, the full papers will undergo a secondary review by experts. The selected papers will be prioritized for inclusion in the conference proceedings, which will be formally published with an ISBN. The copyright for the included papers will be owned by the National Dong Hwa University College of The Arts, with intellectual property rights remaining with the original authors. Reproduction in other publications is prohibited without prior consent.

  1. Full Paper Submission: Authors are required to submit the full paper, including Chinese or English abstracts, following the conference manuscript format guidelines (see Attachment 1), by January 15, 2024. The abstracts and full papers, both in Chinese and English, should be kept within the range of 6-8 pages. Submissions should be made through the online submission system at https://www.ipress.tw/j0089.
  2. Full Paper Review: Notification of the review results will be sent to authors by January 31, 2024.
  3. Final Manuscript: Accepted authors must submit the final version of their papers by February 19, 2024.

 

Poster Papers:

After the abstract has been reviewed and approved, it will be scheduled for presentation as a poster paper during the conference. Please adhere to the poster paper manuscript format (see Attachment 2) and create a vertical A0-sized poster. Display it at the conference venue on the day of the event. Poster papers will not be included in the conference proceedings.

  1. Abstract Submission: Authors presenting posters are required to submit Chinese or English abstracts (approximately 350 words for Chinese and 200 words for English) by January 15, 2024 (Monday) through the online submission system at https://www.ipress.tw/j0089.
  2. First-time submitters must register in the system before submitting.
  3. As the system requires both Chinese and English abstracts to be filled in, if there is a discrepancy in providing both Chinese and English abstracts, please fill in 'N/A' in one of the fields, and the submission can proceed.

Call for Submissions

  • The conference welcomes research papers and research posters for presentation.   • Full papers should be written in either Chinese or English and should be between 6-8 pages in length, including abstracts and figures. Format your submission according to the 7th edition of the APA manual. Provide 3 to 5 sets of keywords related to the paper's theme and an abstract of no more than 300 words in Chinese or 200 words in English.
  • Research posters abstracts should be written in Chinese (approximately 350 words) or English (approximately 200 words).
  • Authors should select a category within the conference theme when submitting, but the organizers reserve the right to adjust the presentation category based on the nature of the submitted papers.
  • Submission and registration: Prepare the full papers and copyright agreement, and submit online before Monday, January 15, 2024(https://www.ipress.tw/j0089).

  •  Paper Presentation: A submission fee of NT$1,000 must be paid for each submitted paper for registration. Attend the Conference (without paper submission): A fee of NT$500 must be paid (including refreshments and a participation certificate). Payment Method: Use the QR code for ATM transfers, convenience store payments, or postal counter payments at ttps://web.ndhu.edu.tw/ga/onlinepay/main.aspx . After logging in, select "College of The Arts" as the billing unit.
